Learn more about one of New York’s most popular neighborhoods, Midtown West

Midtown West is a large area of Manhattan that ranges from Eighth Ave. to the Hudson River on the East to West Boundaries and 59th St. to 34th St. on the North to South boundaries.
Similar to other commercial areas in NYC, Midtown West was slow to see residential development due to its gritty nature and far west reach.
Midtown West is an emerging residential neighborhood that developers and small businesses alike are transforming into a 24-hour neighborhood. Great dining, affordable apartments, and a low-key vibe have become defining elements of the neighborhood.
Due to its eclectic, no-frills vibe, Midtown West is home to performance artists, professionals, and long-time residents, if you live here you’ll be part of the continued neighborhood change.

The vast majority of families and residents live in multifamily housing, more specifically, 90% live in housing with 10 or more units in a 3.1 square miles radi.
In addition, 30% of housing is two bedroom apartments and three bedroom apartments. This supports a population density of 45,240 people per square mile, compared to NYC at 30,000 people per square mile or roughly, 1.5 times more densely populated than Manhattan.
